LPS: It Came from the Desert (part 1)

Written by PushingUpRoses on December 9th, 2011

What happens with you have three weirdos playing a video game?  The most fun LP EVER, that’s what!

Brad Jones (over at http://thecinemasnob.com) and Ed Glaser (over at http://darkmazestudios.com) join me in this video game riff.  Parts will be uploaded asap, this play-through went rather long.

First off, giant slug climbing on the couch. I’m surprised you guys let that one slip by you without comment. ;)

I know this is far too late to help, but you should take the cast to the university on the north side of town, it’s one of four pieces of evidence you need to prove to the mayor the existance of the giant freaking ants but it requires the professor there to examine it (the other three pieces are a chunk of one of the beasts, a sample of their acid, and the sound they make. That latter one requiring a special event at the airport to collect), which you need to do in order to get the Guard and construction workers at the Spa to help you. You can also visit the Radio Station in town and the news girl will tell you if there are any ant attacks going on. The game is kind of timed in that the longer it takes you to do things the more frequent and numerous the attacks on the town become, and you’ll also miss events that explain a bit about what’s happening and provide cues on what to do next. Your character does need to rest as time goes on however or he can wreck when you tell him to go someplace. The main people/places you need to protect are the gas station and it’s owner (he provides the fuel for the weapon you use in the final level of the game), the airport (required for the sound evidence and reaching the final stage of the game), the professor (until you’ve got all the evidence), and the National Guard Armory (which the ants can destroy). Although you can finish the game with just the airport, doing so is much harder.

    Auuugghhh where’s part twoooo

I’m not the impatient kind of guy, but for some reason I’ve been checking every day if part 2 of this one was out yet. You’re doing extra well with Brad ‘n Ed. (Not that you should ditch Paw, mind you. ;) )
